The construction of the new industrial village in Addis Ababa.

The industrial park will be built with a cost of 7 points 7 billion birr to facilitate the development of small and medium industries. The construction of the Amrach Industry Park will cover 42 points 6 hectares of land and will have 21 different floored sheds, 400 food vendors and product shops. In the past, 95 sheds, 152 shops, 48 new four storey (G+4) high buildings, two storey (G+2) 5 buildings in total, 63 building spaces will be designed and built in a way that fits the city and industrial growth.

Ethiopia’s ‘biggest real estate project

A Chinese developer says it will build a 21-tower development that will “change the face” of the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa. The news comes in a period of high growth for Africa’s second most populous country, whose government has just proposed a budget that is 20% higher than last year to fund development. The scheme will cost $194m (4bn birr), and each of the 21 towers will have more than 20 storeys, Ethiopian News Agency (ENA) reported.

Ethiopian Electric Power Opens $445 Million International Bid.

Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP) has initiated an international pre-qualification process for a landmark 62-story headquarters in Addis Ababa, valued at $445 million. Located in the city’s Mexican neighborhood within the Addis Ababa Financial Center, the tower will stand 327.5 meters tall and span 197,800 square meters, making it one of East Africa’s tallest and most iconic buildings.

AfDB pledges to help Ethiopia with new $7.8bn airport.

The African Development Bank (AfDB) has signed an agreement with Ethiopia to collaborate on building a $7.8 billion international airport near Bishoftu, about 20 km southeast of Addis Ababa. The new airport is expected to be completed by 2040 and will have the capacity to handle 60 million passengers annually, positioning Ethiopia as northeast Africa’s main aviation hub. Ethiopia’s Finance Minister Ahmed Shide commended the AfDB’s comprehensive support but did not disclose the exact amount of funding
